What About After Treatment?

The Victorian has numerous options for the woman to "step down" her structured support system safely and gradually.

Extended Care Program

If the woman is interested in a long-term rehabilitation living solution, our parent facility Sober Living by the Sea offers an Extended Care Program  designed to continue each client’s individualized recovery program in a lovely shared home with other individuals in recovery.

Women experience daily treatment activities, such as educational and supportive therapeutic processes, all of which are monitored by staff. Required continued education includes:

•    Addiction workshops
•    12 Step recovery meetings
•    Group and one-on-one therapy sessions
•    Recovery lectures
•    Family groups

T.E.A.C.H. College Program

As clients progress even further into newly rewarding lives free from eating disorders and drug abuse, Sober Living by the Sea Treatment Centers also offer programs that allow women to continue their supervised abstinence from eating disorder program while working or in school.

The T.E.A.C.H. College Program is a groundbreaking structured college program designed specifically for women who are receiving eating disorder treatment to succeed at Southern California colleges while remaining in their support system environment. Clients can soon find themselves earning transferable credits from local Orange County colleges while still receiving clinical guidance and help for her eating disorder recovery program.

Women who are students in the T.E.A.C.H. College Program will receive:
•    Career and academic guidance counseling
•    Career assessment testing
•    Transportation to classes with other female students
•    Academic transcript assistance
•    Monitored study sessions
•    Use of our state of the art computer lab

Transitional Work Program

For women who have careers and completed the eating disorder treatment program at The Victorian, Sober Living by the Sea also has a Transitional Work Program based in Orange County, CA. The Transitional Work Program helps women who desire to continue their careers and accomplish their professional goals, while still being monitored and supported by our multidisciplinary staff of eating disorder and addiction treatment professionals.

For women who would like to live on their own, Sober Living by the Sea's outpatient program, which provides a structured and effective treatment program that includes therapy sessions and educational classes at our eating disorder treatment center in Orange County. Outpatient program clients live at home and services are available to the entire Southern California region including Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
